Awards & rankings | 26 January 2026

London – 26 January 2026 – The Lawyer magazine has named Hogan Lovells partner Jo Robinson in its 2026 “Hot100” list of top lawyers.

The Lawyer’s 'Hot 100' list is an annual list celebrating the most impactful, innovative, and influential lawyers whose work is making a significant impact right now.

Jo Robinson, partner in Hogan Lovells’ Banking practice, was recognised by The Lawyer for being one of the defining figures in Hogan Lovells’ finance practice, having quietly built one of the most diversified and resilient lender-side books in the market. Over the past year she has worked across the full spectrum of deal sizes, from large-cap sponsor financings and refinancings to more-specialist growth and ARR-backed structures, a breadth she sees as both a personal strength and a training ground for her team.

Reflecting on the recognition, Jo commented:  “I’m delighted to be recognised by The Lawyer and to be included alongside so many talented professionals in the UK legal community. This recognition reflects the support of my colleagues at Hogan Lovells and the trust our clients place in us. I’m proud to contribute to the continued evolution of the alternative lending and leveraged finance markets.”

Jo’s practice focuses on the UK’s alternative lending and leveraged finance markets. A dynamic and highly regarded adviser, she acts for banks, debt funds, and borrowers on a wide range of financing structures, including senior, second lien, unitranche / super senior, and PIK financings. She has been instrumental in developing the firm’s market‑leading alternative lender practice, and her close relationships with some of the earliest debt funds in the UK placed her at the forefront of the evolution of the unitranche product, including advising on one of the first unitranche financings in London.

Jo appears on the Hot 100 list alongside our CEO Miguel Zaldivar, who is commended for his leadership, vision and investments into key markets for the firm and Sebastian Lach, partner at Hogan Lovells and Co-CEO of ELTEMATE, who is praised for driving the global expansion and commercial success of the firm’s AI-driven legal tech venture, ELTEMATE. We are especially proud to note that our firm received the highest number of nominations this year, underscoring the outstanding talent and impact of our firm.
