Hogan Lovells advises the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance on the €500 million sale of 100% of PagoPA

Global law firm Hogan Lovells has advised the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance (the “MEF”) on the sale of PagoPA, currently wholly owned by the MEF, to Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato S.p.A. and Poste Italiane S.p.A., respectively in the amounts of 51% and 49% of the Company’s share capital.

The completion of the transaction, with a value of approximately €500 million, is subject to obtaining clearance from the Italian Competition Authority.

The Hogan Lovells team that advised on the transaction was led by partner Patrizio Messina and Piero de Mattia and included senior associate Lorenza Fici and associate Stefania Maracich.
