As Counsel Knowledge Lawyer in our Intellectual Property practice group, Ina Kamps provides in-depth knowledge and innovative legal advice to her group and our clients. With over 20 years of experience in intellectual property law, Ina focuses on trademark and design law, unfair competition law, and defamation law. Ina stays at the forefront of the field by closely monitoring market trends and advancements in intellectual property law. She conducts in-depth analyses of case law and legislative developments in Germany and the EU, ensuring that our team remains a leader in intellectual property law. She also develops forward-looking solutions that address the evolving needs of our clients. In this capacity, Ina applies the innovative approach of Legal Design Thinking to create user-centered solutions tailored to legal contexts. 

Ina has built up extensive know-how in the intersection of sustainability and intellectual property, where she focuses on green advertising and green brands. She regularly publishes articles in law journals and delivers lectures to help navigate the complex legal landscape of green advertising.

Before transitioning to her current role as a Counsel Knowledge Lawyer, Ina has gained extensive experience both as a practicing lawyer and as a product manager at a leading legal publishing company, where she edited handbooks and law journals and developed training programs. This unique blend of practical legal experience and editorial expertise has provided Ina with profound insights into both the legal and commercial dimensions of intellectual property law, as well as a comprehensive understanding of the legal needs of both lawyers and their clients.

In addition to her law degree, Ina has also earned a degree in communication science and political science. She is a member of the German Association for Intellectual Property and Copyright (GRUR).
