Golo Edel advises national and international companies along the entire value chain with respect to commercial and regulatory law matters, particularly in the areas of e-commerce, consumer goods, mobility and logistics, insurance and finance.
Golo’s advisory focus includes the drafting, revision and negotiation of commercial contracts such as purchase, sale, distribution, logistics, and finance agreements, as well as licence and outsourcing agreements. He also advises on general terms and conditions. Further, Golo advises on the implementation and termination of online and offline distribution models as well as on complex FinTech and InsureTech cooperations. Moreover, Golo helps his clients with respect to the fulfilment of regulatory requirements, such as consumer protection or financial regulatory requirements. Golo’s work is often international and includes projects involving several European jurisdictions.
Thanks to his many years of experience, Golo understands his clients' operational business and always finds economical, pragmatic, and creative solutions for them.
Before joining us, Golo worked for a mid-sized law firm in Düsseldorf focusing on commercial law and commercial litigation. He studied at the University of Münster. During his legal traineeship he worked in the corporate group of another international law firm in Düsseldorf.

Regular advice to leading German renewable energy equipment companies on their B2C business, including drafting instalment purchase contracts with consumers and advising on consumer protection laws
Regular advice to an international eRoaming mobility platform with respect to commercial and regulatory law matters, including the drafting of commercial agreements for new service offerings.
Advising a global tech company on the drafting of commercial contracts of all kinds and product warranties, as well as their localisation in 20+ EU jurisdictions.
Advising a global reinsurer on an innovative license purchase model related to the distribution of add-on services for insurance products.
