A Senior Associate in our Complex Commercial Litigation team, Bethany advises on a range of litigious matters, with a particular focus on pensions and competition litigation.  She has advised trustees, sponsoring employers and representative beneficiaries in disputes relating to pension schemes, and has experience advising technology companies in disputes arising from breaches of competition law.

She also has experience of bringing and defending professional negligence claims, both for and against law firms, actuaries and administrators.

Representative experience

Advising a major smartphone manufacturer in confidential arbitration relating to the FRAND value of a SEP portfolio held by a well-known licensor.

Acting for a global legal practice in the defence of a professional negligence claims.

Acting for the trustee and sponsoring employer of a pension scheme in relation to the correct interpretation of a revaluation provision.

Advising an international technology company in relation to a "follow-on" damages claim.

Silentnight: representing the targets in a circa £100m regulatory action.  

Acting for a representative beneficiary in a blessing application to vary a scheme's termination payment.

Acting for the trustee of a DB pension scheme in an application to approve a complex settlement and rectification action.
