Dual-qualified in civil and common law, Maria represents clients before international arbitration tribunals, U.S. federal courts, and U.S. government agencies. She regularly advises on trade barriers—including tariffs—and trade disputes involving North America, Latin America, and China.

She has extensive experience in investment and commercial arbitration under the rules of the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the Arbitration Rules of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), and the Bogota Chamber of Commerce Arbitration and Conciliation Centre.
