Hogan Lovells major energy transition transaction recognised at inspiratia Europe Energy Transition Awards 2025

London, 1 December 2025 – Global law firm Hogan Lovells is proud to announce that the Tyligulska Wind Power Plant, on which it advised, has been recognised at Inspiratia’s Europe Energy Transition Awards 2025. The project won awards in both the Innovative Markets & Technology Deal and Deal of the Year categories.

Inspiratia’s Europe Energy Transition Awards showcases the leaders propelling the energy transition forward along with the most noteworthy transactions. The Tyligulska Wind Power Plant was singled out as a landmark investment delivered under extraordinary circumstances. It introduces substantial new wind capacity, backed by international lenders and export-credit support, and stands as a world first in terms of its scale and strategic significance.

The project secured financing and advanced construction in the midst of conflict, bringing together international lenders, export-credit support, and committed private investment to deliver vital new renewable capacity.

The Tyligulska Wind Power Plant represents a landmark investment whose scale and symbolic importance make it a defining deal for the renewable energy sector. Hogan Lovells advised international banks and The Export and Investment Fund of Denmark (EIFO) – on behalf of the Danish government – on a EUR 370 million financing of II stage Tyligulska wind power plant in the Mykolaiv region of Ukraine.

The project, developed by a subsidiary of Ukraine's largest private energy investor DTEK, involves the construction and operation of a wind farm consisting of 83 wind turbine generators supplied by Vestas, with an aggregate estimated capacity of nearly 500 MW, making it the largest wind energy project in the country. Once completed, the II stage Tyligulska wind power plant will generate 1.7 TWh annually for 900,000 households, and thus significantly contribute to Ukraine's renewable energy capacity and energy independence.
